Google Wave
Google Wave is “a personal communication and collaboration tool” announced by Google. It is a web based service, computing platform, and communication protocol designed to merge e-mail, instant messaging, wikis, and social networking. It has a strong collaborative and real-time. I have been having a fun time using it.

If you would like an invite tell me why in a comment.
Cheers

For web conferences you should try http://www.showdocument.com ,
Great for online teaching and collaborating. I use it for working on my designs with other in my field.
Its free and pretty simple – you just upload your file and invite others to view it together.

Hi Graham, I am a graduate student working on a research team that is spread between the Berkeley, LA, and Illinois, and I am curious to try Wave to see if it can enhance our collaboration, since right now we are really limited to weekly teleconferences. If you could send me an invite that would be awesome,
Thanks,
Chris

I’d like to use it in our IT department and see if it has a future as a collaborative tool for larger projects. Meetings, support, and just standard user questions could be asked and answered in real time through one application. Might have some really great possibilities.
